The new AI investment platform was created to invest in companies applying artificial intelligence to real-world business challenges for middle-market clients.

Blue Marlin Partners is a private investment firm based in Bethesda, Maryland, with over $800 million of capital invested across 30 platform companies. Our investor network is made up of more than 80 operating executives and entrepreneurs who invest alongside us and play active roles across diligence, governance, and portfolio value creation.

The AI investment platform represents the next evolution of that model — bringing our operating network and portfolio companies together to identify and scale the next generation of applied AI innovators. The platform will focus on post-seed, revenue-generating AI companies providing vertical or function-specific solutions that deliver measurable outcomes for their customers.

Investment Criteria*

Target Portfolio:

10 - 15 investments.

Investment Focus:

Companies deploying vertical AI solutions in end markets which leverage BMP’s investor network expertise (healthcare, services, consumer, etc.).

Models Trained on Proprietary Data Sets:

Proprietary data-driven models delivering mission-critical, highly embedded solutions.

Investment Size:

Investment size: $5.0 – $20.0 million in initial round or over time.

Stage:

Post-seed funding rounds (Series A, B, C) where investment will accelerate growth and commercialization.

Revenue:

Revenue generating companies with demonstrated product-market-fit.
